The Master Small Ruminant class is a nine session course that is offered by University of Tennessee Extension. The course focuses on small ruminant production and issues facing the goat/sheep industry. Topics include marketing, nutrition, health, genetics, predators and facilities, and more.
The registration fee for the class is $75.00 for producers. Producers who complete the Master Small Ruminant program will be eligible for the 50% cost share reimbursements through the TDA Tennessee Agriculture Enhancement Program. Items eligible for cost share include equipment and handling facilities, feed storage, and hay storage facilities.
This course will enhance the profitability and competitiveness of any small ruminant operation by providing essential, technical information.
