4-H Photo Contest – March
The 4-H Photo Search is an activity designed to give young people an opportunity to learn more about themselves and their surroundings through photography.
Rules
- Only one entry per member (no larger than 5 x 7).
- The photo should be mounted on an 8×10 piece of construction paper.
- On the back of the paper:
- Name
- Teacher’s Name
- Grade
- The photo can be in color or black and white. The photo can also be taken with a digital camera.
- The photo should be taken by the 4-H member who will be entering the contest.
- Use your imagination when taking and selecting photos. People don’t always have to be saying “cheese” and posing for the picture. They can be hugging, making a face, etc. Experiment with different angles. Choose a subject and focus in on it. Make sure you are close enough to make a sharp clear picture. Holding the camera steady is important too. If the camera moves just a little while you are taking the picture it could make it blurry.
